The Destin Fishing and History Museum is hosting the Destin Boat Parade on December 9th. Destin has a lot of
My wife and I have stayed here twice, and we had a great time each time. The view and beach access are fantastic. It is within walking distance to a great restaurant, and easy driving distance to any restaurant in Destin. Get an upstairs room.
This old motel on Scenic 98 is a diamond in the rough. It's in a great neighborhood, no where near any of the mega-places, steps to the white sand beach. We practically have the place to ourselves as this is the off-season. Weather has been foggy and misty in the upper 50's. Breaks in the wet give plenty of time for strolling up the pristine beach. And yes, it is true, the sand is so white it looks like snow. Sea Oats is old and not fancy, but who cares, because the room is plenty big with a microwave and small fridge. Fantastic off-season rate. Best thing of all is the beautiful view out the sliding glass door to a covered back porch, a few steps down to a sandy path through twisted fencing, tall sea oats and sea grass, beach, then beautiful blue and green Gulf water
We were at Sea Oats in October and had a better time than we did in August. Everything was perfect, our usual kitchenette, the water, the beach...even the weather cooperated a lot better on this trip. As always, the staff were very nice. The only way it could have gotten any better was for us to not have to leave. 🙁 Sea Oats is and always has been perfect for us. Cannot beat the price and get to stay right on the beach, sit on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful white beach and emerald green & blue water. We are already planning our next trip to Destin and we will stay at Sea Oats again!
