The Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus continues a community tradition with its 39th Annual Christmas performance this weekend, “The Best Gift of All.”
The production is sure to fill you with some magical holiday cheer with singing, dancing, skits and musical accompaniment.
For almost 40 years, the FWBCC has produced Spring and Christmas concerts each year that blend together Patriotic, Contemporary and Broadway musical numbers and productions.
The Chorus prides itself in bringing music alive onstage with fun ensembles and this year’s holiday performance promises nothing less!
The Mission of the Fort Walton Beach Community Chorus is to maintain a tradition of choral excellence while promoting appreciation for music. They also aim to present performances of choral literature, both accompanied and unaccompanied, whether they be secular or sacred, that are of general interest to audiences.
Director Lisa Stanhope, Accompanist Joel Lane and the current cast members are dedicated performers whose primary objective continues to be providing quality and enjoyable entertainment to everyone.
The Community Chorus “family” shares their love for singing with their two annual shows.
They present an original production in the spring and a Christmas production during the holidays. With a goal to entertain both children and adults with their singing and dancing, the Christmas show promises to be a family friendly performance.
The 2014 Holiday Concert will be held this weekend starting on December 12th at 7:30 pm followed by performances on December 13th at 3 pm and 7:30 pm and December 14th at 3 pm. All performances will be held at the Fort Walton Beach Municipal Auditorium.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors over age 60 and $10 for students. Revenues help support the organization’s Scholarship Fund. Visit FWBCC.org for more information on ticket locations.
