The Fun Isn’t Done

Fall is a great time of year to visit the gorgeous beaches of Destin, Florida.

Beautiful weather with perfect temperatures and low humidity, fantastic rates and discounts around town, uncrowded beaches and attractions, and plenty of outdoor festivities on the water that the whole family can enjoy. There are plenty of reasons to come down even though the summer season is officially over.

Along with the cooler days comes tons of great fishing for anglers of any age, ability or style, as the blending of cool and warm waters surrounding our gorgeous coastal paradise makes the ideal habitat for a plethora of migrating fish species, and a variety of sport fish become available as their seasons open.

One of the local delicacies that are plentiful this time of year is the Rock or Spiny Lobsters, which are hand caught, plucked from the ledges and overhangs of our famous limestone and coral underwater wonderland full of thousands of different species of sea life. These lobsters do not have claws, like the traditional Atlantic Lobster associated with New England, but they do have deliciously sweet and tender tail meat that many people prefer over the taste of the former.

Here is one of our favorite preparations that is both simple and tasty, perfect for fixing up in your suite’s fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy!
